It was a day that was 15 years in the making, and it is a day that will be remembered for the next 15 years and more. SISB commemorated its 15th Anniversary on 15th December, and presented an event that showcased the unity and teamwork of the entire SISB community.
Our NK students displayed their talent in song and dance in a performance for our parents at the multi-purpose hall of the Primary building. Besides that, they also exhibited their love for the Great King Bhumibol Adulyadej with an art exhibition in tribute to His Majesty.
The Primary section delighted parents with performances of their own, showcasing their talent in various fields, such as the recorder, Thai dance and skits. Our Secondary students put up an exhibition titled "My Cool School Life", a diverse collection of pieces inspired by their favourite things about school.
One of the crowd-pullers had to be Annie the musical, performed by students from the Suvarnabhumi campus, and housed memorably at the new, state-of-the-art SISB Creative Arts and Media Centre.
Besdes being treated to a feast for the senses, parents and visitors to the school were treated to a feast of culinary delights as well. Food booths selling a wide range of delicacies, from laksa, chicken rice to Vietnamese food, ensured that our visitors and students always had energy to enjoy the performances available that day.
The extravaganza of talent, music and great food culminated in a gala performance at the SISB Creative Arts and Media Centre. Dazzling performances by our students in the play "Space And Time Overlap", a new-age piece, and the China Conservatory of Music, made the evening additionally memorable for our guests.
The finale for the day was the unveiling of the Merlion, the national symbol of Singapore, and a reminder of our roots and quality of education. The symbolic ceremony, helmed by the event's Guest-of-Honour, Mr Wong Kai Jiun, Chargé D’affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Singapore, is also our promise to parents that we will keep improving ourselves to give our students the very best.
A sincere note of appreciation to everyone who made the last 15 years possible, and we look forward to many more good years ahead.
